Food For Thought

Prologue

Hi am Aniedi, an eloquent, unequivocal, indefatigable woman of substance, I will be writing on series of issues, which is of paramount importance to the society. Have a fun filled time as we journey through my world.

An Overview Of The African Woman

Women today, play a crucial role in the society. The African woman in time past was subjected to sitting at home nursing their young and doing all the domestic cores. They superintended over everything at home while the men went out to work. The African woman was generally deemed to be the home homemaker, in other words she was the house keeper. That is on the one hand, and on the other hand, the man, pater familias, was solely the breadwinner.
This was the standards then, but life they say is not static, but dynamic. The current trends today justifies this saying. This current trends is attributable to the fact that, food, house and cloth, which hitherto were the three basic necessities of life, now have other essential needs to contend with. As the society continued to experience dramatic changes, the challenges became increasingly too much, hence the involvement of women in all facets of the African economy. These new developments marked the beginning of a new era.
With the advent of these new wants or needs vis a vis the three basic necessities of life, women's position gradually picked up pace, thereby posing a stiff opposition to their superiors, the men.
They, the women, have propelled themselves into positions of authority both in the private and in the public sectors. The African woman is practically, slowly but surely, working her way to the top.

Verdict

I will like to enjoin all African women in the diaspora to habituate themselves to hard work. It is pertinent to note at this juncture that, women empowerment is sine qua non, if she must get to he pinnacle of her career. Enthusiastically, the sky will not be the limit, but the beginning of greater things to come for the women and to the betterment of the society in its entirety. I think the women have all it takes and can do equally well like the men if not better than them. Esprit de corps, you would say there.
Cheerio !!!
